I don't care...I know that all the Duke haters will think that they will "crumble" in the upcoming season. A Duke team "crumbling" is still better than most teams. It does not matter. We can handle a subpar season (subpar by Duke standards by the way). Since Deng and Livingston did not stay, the team has no choice but to move on. It might take a bit of time, but it will happen. So what if we're not the best or we don't have a traditional Duke season...we still have a good basketball team. If you're a real Duke fan, you'll stick with them, especially with all the bullsh!t that will be said by opposing ACC fans in the upcoming season.

Duke's not crumbling, but it's not a stretch to say they won't finish in the top 4 in the ACC. Maryland's stacked, GT only loses one key player, UNC's probably the best team in the country, and Wake doesn't lose anyone. But Duke still will be a top 20 team.

peace.

Shavlick proved to be a pretty decent PF last season coming off the bench. He wont be as good as Deng but he is pretty good. Their only real problem is PG but that is a big problem. I dont know of many college teams that can win without a PG.

This is so much wishful thinking and praying for the demise of Duke, it pretty much doesn't need a rebutle.

The only players Duke loses are Deng and Duhon. Duhon was not the world's greatest offensive threat, but comparably Dock can fill that role. Deng of course is a loss, but we still have 2 top 100 recruits (a 2 and a 3 guard) coming in. Sure we might take a step back and have to rebuild a little, but since when did Top 25 suck? I can think of tons of teams who would consider breaking top 25 a successful season. We have one of the most dominant defensive PF, arguably the nations best shooter, and Ewing. Duke will still have a 20 win season this year even with our losses. Fans will be there, even if it were a losing season.

You sure Dock's up for it? I'd think you'd be better off with Nelson running the point.

peace.

They ran him at the point last year when Duhon was on the bench. He has a nice low dribble and he protects the ball. But he tends to keep his head and eyes down. He's more of a defensive PG, but he can get the ball safely up the court, which is what we really need right now.
