did they extend the 3 point line a couple of years ago from 19 something to 19' 9"??

I can understand the desire to push back the three pt line by some coaches, because it would give more value to their better shooters, but a negative side would be the 3 lines needed to be painted at places that host NBA, NCAA men and women's games. I'm completely against a trapazoid lane, but might be in favor of widining the rectangle. For the most part I'm a traditionalist.

I don't care about the three-point line. Move it up, move it back -- whatever.

Just don't go with the trapezoidal lane. Do you know how ugly that would be?
