why did the ACC blindly leave the huge eastern NC and large Tidewater( 4+million) market wide open??? this vast overlooked and undervalued market( no local D1 football,no NFL,NBA or MLB).....is the largest unifiliated market in the USA. sure there is support for ACC football in tidewater....but that ACC support is very soft..a mile wide and a inch deep....closest ACC football is almost 200 miles away(UVA)..........the closest D1 program to the vast Tidewater area....ECU......don't be at all suprised if the SEC cherry picks WVU and ECU......within 10 years......why?.........ECU as a SEC afiliate.....would change everything instantly.......Tidewater media would give ECU major coverage instantly with ECUs SEC afiliation.....ten's of thousands of unifiliated football fans would make the short drive to ECU to se a SEC football game......the ACC would have a hart attack the ACC wisely picked BC over ECU
