Do you guys think the play of this season has had any effect on recruiting so far? Also how much of an effect will this season have on recruiting if we go deep into the big dance? I think we are going to turn a lot of heads this season.

Go Tigers!!!!

I think Cal has a big effect on recruiting regardless of what we do this year.

I kind of agree with Incubus on this one. There is no question that kids are looking at our team and style and are going to want to play for us. With all of the talent on the floor, only DWash, Shawne, and CDR were top 50 recruits. That also proves that Cal can develop players. Rodney, Cooper, and Andre Allen weren't even top 100.

I think that the biggest impact will be on Memphis recruits - kids that grew up loving the Tigers. Shawne Williams is proving that a local player can have a big impact and Andre is getting a lot of minutes as a walk on.

This season will effect 08 and 09 more than anything else, maybe even beyond depending on how far this team runs in the NCAA tourney.

The only negative that could be taken from what's happened so far is that recruits could have the perception that there's not enough room for them.

07 seems to be a weak class. I don't think that we will get but three or four

My picks are
Chris Barnes 6-9 PF from GA
Corey Stokes 6-6 SG/SF from NJ
Devin Ebanks 6-8 SF from NJ
Raven Johnson 6-7 SF from Mississippi

That will keep the window open for your national Title run.
What do you think Easterwood? Pretty accurate!

Maybe a 6-11 shot blocker Big who can score the ball would be nice.

I don't think Memphis will have more than 3 or 4 scholarships for 07 anyway. Who is graduating to free one up?? We don't have any juniors on this team.. unless we save scholarships from this year.
