Who do you guys see as the breakout players at Tech or any ACC school this coming season?

Offensively at Tech, I definately see Eddie Royal making some impact at WR. Also, Justin Harper could make some impact after showing to be a deep threat this past spring. George Bell should also see his share of handoffs after the 3 game suspension of Mike Imoh and the uncertain status of when Cedric Humes will be 100% again. I think if we open our offense like we showed during the bowl game, then Jeff King can make big plays at the tight end position. Will Montgomery should establish himself as a pretty nasty player on the o-line as well.

On defense, look for Xavier Adibi to win over the starting job at the backer position and run with it. He had a good spring, and has continued to put up great strength numbers. Vince Hall should also win over a starting job and form one of the better young linebacker duos with X. Jimmy Williams should become a standout following the move from free safety to wideout. At 6'3, he has great speed and should be a good playmaker in the secondary. My other pick is Daryl Tapp at defensive end. He also had a great spring and is poised to do big things this coming year.

I agree with all of these picks but I also think Jim Davis may be ready to re-break back out. He was always a good player, but a little undisciplined. Now, he's a 5th year SR after recovering from his injury last year.

John Kinzer should be the next great Hokie fullback.
