It's being reported on InsideCarolina.com that we might be after one of these guys... Davis is 6'10", Echefu is 6'8". Davis has given a "soft verbal" to Texas, Echefu still hasn't committed. What are your opinions on these guys. They both seem to be solid player that can add height inside off the bench, or atleast from what is written about them.

I'm of the opinion that we need more height than 6'8" in order to allow May to move out one position. We have several players in Echefu's size range, but extra height would be an asset.

It's my opinion that we wait for the class of 2006. Davis has the height but real thin and easily pushed out of position in the post. Echefu I don't know much about but we actually need a legitimate center not a forward.

I don't know if anyone will agree with me on this, especially since I am a Kansas fan. Everyone has an opinion on who would be a better prospect, but nobody has a better opinion than Roy since he works with these kids day in and day out. Have some faith in Roy and let him do the recruiting. Look at his career numbers. His career winning percentage of .796 is the highest among all active Division I coaches with five years experience, and is fifth highest all-time among Division I coaches trailing only Clair Bee (.826), Adolph Rupp (.822), John Wooden (.804) and John Kresse (.797). Won more games in the first 15 seasons of a coaching career than anyone in NCAA history. Is tied for third for consecutive all-time NCAA Tournament appearances with 15 (Dean Smith-23, Lute Olson-20, Bob Knight-15). Roy is in good company with these coaches, have faith, he will eventually bring the championship to Carolina.
