Keith, in an earlier post you mentioned that the recruiting rankings that some people put out are heavily influenced by the shoe companies.

Would you give us an idea which forums or rankings are the most accurate and unbiased when evaluating high school basketball talent?

I know that it is all subjective but I would like to have a better idea what the value of each ranking service is. Thanks.

Bob Gibbons is under contract to Reebok, he very rarely goes to events not sponsored by Reebok, which limits who he sees.

Ron Briscoe is under contract to Nike.

Vince Baldwin of Prep Spotlight is Nike.

The Rivals national board is heavily influencd by Nike.

Clark Francis is on an island, although I personally like him, he will go out on a limb, but keep in mind he's getting info from a variety of people. No shoe affliation.

Prepstars is solid. No shoe affiliation.

Dave Telep is the best, you always see him on the road, he has a strong network, Jeff Goldman does a good job for him. No shoe affiliation.

SoCal hoops is all adidas.

That's the truth. Although, I think he relies almost entirely on Greg Hicks for his West Coast info--which is fine, it's just not Dave.
