is so defined by emotion that it has become the most volatile team I've seen in years. At home, with the crowd behind them, the players just tromp the competition. UNC can beat anyone in the country at home by 15+. I have little doubt in my mind about that. At the same time, it's a quick downhill slide at another team's arena. I think there are at least 4 or 5 teams that could beat UNC at their own place if things fall correctly.
That said, UNC will probably "out-talent" the rest of the ACC on their own courts and end up somewhere in the 13-3, 14-2 ballpark.

I agree that we are a much better home team than home team. That's why I circled this game as a test of how far this team has truly come. While I won't say we failed the test miserably, we certainly didn't ace it. We proved that we still have a long way to go.
The good (or bad) thing is that there are plenty more tests like this in the ACC. With games looming in Durham, College Park, Raleigh -- and Storrs, Connecticut for an OOC tilt -- we still have many more road tests to face. And that's not to mention places like Clemson and Charlottesville where we seem to struggle.
We will find out this Wednesday how we can respond in a hostile environment.
