Quote:A total of 245,898 fans streamed through the turnstiles to watch 17 home games played by the NC State men's basketball team last season. The Wolfpack's average of 14,464 - a figure that does include one game at the smaller Reynolds Coliseum - ranked 13th in the nation, according to figures released by the NCAA. The ranking is the Pack's highest since it was ranked seventh in attendance the first year the RBC Center Opened in 2000.
Nationally, Syracuse ended Kentucky's nine-year run as college basketball's attendance leader by pulling in an average of 22,978 spectators to the massive Carrier Dome.
Along with NC State, three other teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference placed in the top 10. North Carolina (3rd), Maryland (6th) and Wake Forest (17th) were the others.
Among Conferences, the Big Ten was No. 1 in overall attendance followed by the ACC.
Since moving into the more spacious RBC Center in 2000, NC State has ranked in the top 20 in attendance for six straight years. By contrast, the Wolfpack was ranked 30th (10,800 average) the final year it played its games at Reynolds Coliseum, which then seated 12,400.
The novelty of the new arena, then known as the ESA, contributed to NC State's all-time record attendance wise back in 2000. In 20 home games that season (including the NIT), the Pack drew a total of 330,709 fans for an average of 16,535.

I guess this is Hodge Logic (NC State's version of Curry Math)...how else could the 13th & 17th ranked teams be in the top 10?
*reminder to self: do not hire any NC State math majors*
