Old school Stetson media guides!!!
I just purchased and received two Stetson basketball media guides that I ordered off ebay....one from the Glenn Wikles era and another for the 95-96 Randy Brown era.
KOS, or anyone else - could you tell me what happened to Randy Brown? Why did he leave after only two seasons? I see he didnt perform very well!

The program totally went into the tank and there was massive
dissention from players, parents, fans, boosters, etc. over some of his bizarre practices (e.g. not allowing the team dinner after a poor practice and/or game, full-court drills prior to a game, etc.). In all honesty, the team wasn't any worse than it is now.
Back to Brown...While at Stetson and immediately after while an asst. at Iowa State he lost two children to a previously undiagnosed rare genetic disorder. The poor soul became a basket case emotionally, and a few years after those enormous tragdies he was arrested on numerous charges for possession of child pornography. He plea bargained and stayed out of the big house last I heard.
I've got tons of those old Stetson media guides....what do they go for?

That's an amazing story about Brown! I am shocked.
KOS, I paid $6 each for them (plus shipping - I over paid to be honest)...I'f be very interested in purchasing yours if you're interested.
In other Bball news KOS, I contacted Frank Brunell over at USF, asking him if he'd be willing to send me an autographed photo or something. He wasn't particularly very nice...kinda short with me. Needless to say, I didn't get my photo.

That's a shame about Frank.
I've known him since he was an 18 year-old freshman at Stetson. He's always been very nice to me, but it's no big secret that Stetson left a bitter taste in his mouth when he didn't get the head job after Wilkes left.
Incidentally, of all the Stetson players, he was hands down the finest all-round player in the D1 era. An unfortunate knee injury in his last game in the Edmunds Center might very well have cost him an NBA career.
As for those old media guides, I'm still too emotionally tied...
