I heard our football stadium will have artificial turf. Has anyone else heard anything? I think that's a little ironic since grass turfs in some pro sports venues (RFK Stadium, for example) comes from nearby Moore County.

Camel if ya get Fieldturf it'll be easier to maintain. If you can, go check out Owen High School's field. They got the 500 thousand it takes to do it, laid it down and in late season games have a field in great shape. Keep in mind Campbell could also play soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, etc.. all on that stuff and it never tear up.

Davidson: grass

Dayton: Astroturf (Fieldturf planned)

Drake: FieldTurf installed 2006


Jacksonville: grass

Morehead State: artificial (2002 upgrade)

San Diego: grass ("Bullseye" Bermuda)]

Buclover, are you talking about Owen HS in Swannanoa (near Asheville)? Seems like I've heard of other high schools with it..can't remember where. And thanks LDog for the info and pics. I've seen Davidson's stadium. Drake's and Butler's Fieldturf looks good.

Boise State has a blue field....we need an orange one with black lines and orange/black endzones! (I'm kidding.....sort of)

I kinda would like regular grass field. I mean.... if I am not mistaken that is what our soccer field is and I like it.

Yea I was talking about that Owen High School. There's a couple of the bigger schools like that in NC that have it laid down simply because they can't afford to maintain a nice field through the course of a season.
