No seats for students?!?!?
Through the grapevine I heard that Carter over sold season tickets and students are going to hardly get any seats for the games. Any truth to this? how soon do you think I need to get to Carter Saturday for the game?!?!

Don't go to bed Friday night, just kidding. My guess a couple hours before tip off. They need to get started on the new facility if they are going to make the '08 season opener.

By the way I don't think Pembroke is going to be a push over. They hung with Wilmington much better than I think anyone expected. The Camels have had their stuggles in their scrimmages against High Point and Fayetteville State. It will be interesting to see if Laings small run and gun line up against the big boys inside will work.

This is far from the truth....there will be the same amount of student seating as there was last year. They will be doing to seating coupons just like last season for certian sections.

Kids got turned away from the game and there were plently of open seating.

What pisses me off is that I was here for two of the worst seasons in history, one being the 2-22 season when we were doing horrible and now its hard for me to get a seat. At least give hold tickets for seniors or something because I don't have the time this semester to wait in those long lines.

I'm not saying this to be a ******* but for games that ya'll know alot of fans want to see, is there not an alternative venue to move the game to? I mean if you know that there is an interest of 2000 or so, there has to be a AA high school in the area that holds that, or alteast something around 1500.

I doubt we'll do anything like that because the new gym is suppose to be built in '08. So I figure the admin thinks the new gym will fix all the problems.

I don't think they really would want to do that. Carter is the best home court advantage in the A-Sun. By not moving the games you create a demand, make a better gameday experience and have a crazy crowd inside the Carter Dome.

That's great for the short term, but what happens when people get aggravated and stop going?
And ask your players about playing in the heated outdoor court that is the Mini-Dump. From the leaky roof to the high ceiling, it's a tough place to adjust to play in.
