Criticize him all you want, but he does lead the nation in steals. Obviously he does more than just shoot. Actually its usually just Pitt that criticizes him but whatever. ;-)

He also is leading the nation in turnovers per game by a much wider margin.

So he turns it over about twice as much as he steals it huh ? Thus the Tim Smith conundrum. One thing he is, is not dull.

I think ETSU is in the top 15 as a team in steals.

Lately he's cut the turnovers down a little bit, he had issues yesterday playing with a jammed thumb, but still yet played a solid game.

Smith has cut down on turnovers recently? he had 10 againist KSU game before last, thats a great double double. last night only 4 turnovers (which I think from being there he had a homer counting) but also only 3 assists.

True about the KSU and the JU game, but when they reeled off the five wins in a row he had cut his turnovers way down, and the assists, though not in double figures, had improved. Tim has done a good job at adjusting his game a little bit, he still does alot of the same irritating things, but he still does alot of good things, missing two free throws late against KSU aside of course, and the final five seconds of the Wake and Cincinati games, blah blah, etc...

But in the five games you speak of he was doing it against the Little Sisters of the Poor.

Smith has had his opportunity to be a clutch player against quality competition. He failed. He won't get another opportunity like he had.

The book has been written on Lil' Bow Wow. All sizzle- no substance.

Really? Campbell is in the top five of the conferece, G-Webb was the preseason pick to win it with three members first team all conference in Conn, Jennings and Bender. Florida Atlantic is LEADING THE A-SUN RIGHT NOW and has the best coach in the conference by far. The Boca Owls only conference loss lead to a door in the dome getting punched. I'll let ya have the Wayne Andrews butt kissing contest with Morehead State, they are awful, but Central Michigan is also in a bigger conference than we're in, though they probably couldn't compete in any league right now as that program looked in disarray.

He's actually saying a team at the top of the worst conference in basketball is good.

Incredible. Absolutely incredible.

How old are you- JD? I'm guessing about 12.

I'm guessing this is your first season following ETSU basketball.

And it probably isn't and you're not going to get why I ask that- though everyone else will.

What is really sad to me is someone is talking about Smith starting to finally improve his Assist to Turnover ratio.. 1/2 though his Senior season. He has started since the 5th gam of his freshman year, and the facts really aren't bearing that out. His turnovers this year are the worst of his career so far he is averaging 6 a game.. 6.. as a Point Guard..
