G-Webb lost by 3 to UNC, must have been a great game. (I think 73-70 final)

Kennesaw marched past Lamar for a big win for that young program.

Stetson is up at the half on Delaware.

JU lost by 30 to FSU

Stetson blows the lead...goes scoreless for 6 minutes. Stetson is absolutely vomitous. Hopefully we can beat the freakin Citadell.

It took a last second shot by David Noel to put Carolina up 83-80 vs. Gardner-Webb. Love to see the Heels vulnerable like that...

And Kennesaw State plays Alaska-Fairbanks today (article from the Marietta Daily Journal):

Quote:Owls capture first Division I victory

From staff reports

FAIRBANKS, Alaska -The Kennesaw State men's basketball team won its first Division I game Saturday by trouncing Lamar 79-60 in the BP Top of the World Classic.

The Owls (1-1) shot 55 percent from the floor and from 3-point range as they dominated the Cardinals (0-2) from the outset.

"This is unbelievable," KSU coach Tony Ingle said. "This is what basketball is about - team spirit, attitude, hard work and execution."

Ronell Wooten scored a game-high 19 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead four Owls who scored in double-figures. Golden Ingle added 16 points and five assists. Brent Ragsdale also scored 11 points, and Israel Ingle dropped in 10 points.

Kennesaw State came out strong and jumped to an 11-4 lead with just over 15 minutes left in the first half after Golden Ingle was fouled after successfully converting a layup and a free throw.

The Owls pushed their lead on first-half 3-pointers by Ryan Nelson (2-for-4, 8 points), Ragsdale (5-for-8) and Gabby Cruz (3-for-7, 7 points) as the Owls built a 37-23 lead at halftime.

"I can't say enough about how proud I am of this team (Saturday)," added Ingle. "We played hard and hustled from the opening tip."

In the second half, the Cardinals were only able to briefly cut into the Kennesaw State lead, trimming the deficit to nine points on two occasions early in the half.

The Owls will conclude the tournament tonight when they will play the winner of Alaska-Fairbanks and Montana State in the fifth place game.

I listened to some of that Stetson-Citadel game today. It sounded like both teams were pretty gassed after 3 game in 3 days. It sure sounded like Stetson was the better team, they just fell apart down the stretch.

I personally hate those tourneys that make you play 3 days in a row. Its great to play that much opposition but the last days games are usually truly awful as this one seemed to be.

The Citadel team is tall and can wear you down. I met them when I visited JU and they are big, if you have a small frontcourt you will get bruised.
