Really, really early predictions for next year's NCAA tournament has Gardner-Webb in from the A-Sun as a #15 seed.

Wow, they have C-USA as being a 1 bid league next year...with Memphis winning the prize. With UAB and UTEP in the mix - I'd like to think the watered-down conference will still get at least 2 in.

UCF has potential - if these transfers that have been practicing with us all year, and our prize recruit all pan out. We still need big guys though.

I hope we keep some A-Sun teams on the OOC slate.

You have to look at Belmont as a stronger team in the 05-06 season. They return most of their team, plus their center will have an additional year of exp and hopefully additional weight. The big key is Boomer Herndon arriving at Belmont. The Tenn player of the year a couple of years ago and UT transfer at 6'10" makes Belmont a power house over night. Personally, I think that Rick Byrd is one of the top coaches in the league. Belmont got to the semi with a small team and young w/o a proven center . Next year those defeciencies are gone.

I don't think anyone really thinks GWU is a given. It's going to be very hard for them to replace Sonn.

I guess ETSU has to sit out a year...so I think Belmont and Lipscomb are two of the top contenders. I would think JU but now that Durham retired that changes everything- they still have "Q" though.
