Basketball - Predraft camp won’t include ETSU’s Smith

Tim Smith wanted to spend the summer evaluating his future. The high-scoring East Tennessee State point guard declared himself eligible for the NBA draft, hoping to realize his dream of playing professional basketball.
Now it appears as if the NBA isn’t interested. Not yet, anyway.
Smith is one of an amazing 108 early entrants in the draft, a list that includes 61 college underclassmen, 12 high school players and 35 international players. There will be only 60 players selected in the June 28 draft, and by all accounts, Smith will not be one of them.
When the invitations to this month’s NBA predraft camp were handed out this week, Smith was not a recipient.
