Yes.

There's a difference between good baseball programs and crappy rules, crappy commish, and crappy venues/attendance. I was mainly talking about basketball anyways.

See UCF as a directional school will NEVER BE ANY good. You guys joined the real game in your minds way to late. You will never be UF or FSU. Realize it. I am sick and tired of the ASUN wasn't good enough for you, hell who let you be there when you needed us when nobody else wanted you. Maybe you are to young to know this but don't bite the hand that fed you. You got to this point partly because of us the ASUN. Best of luck and don't disrespect loyal fans on the UCF board who know what the conference has done to promote you to a point where CUSA is possible. Yes we joke with UCF about sports but your goal and mission is different then a small private school with 2,400 kids. I hope you think bigger and better. I just know with the leadership and situation you have you will lose.

Yea, the leadership that has invested in project after project to build our facilities. THe leadership that has signed Kirk Speraw, signed George O'Leary, and has kept Jay BErgman. The leadership that has got us into CUSA for all sports. The leadership that will have a NEW stadium and NEW arena within the next 3 years.

The A-Sun will be better in basketball in 05-06 then it was in 04-05...and soon will be better than the 03-04 season where UCF, Belmont and Troy all made postseason.

The A-Sun will be fine in baseball and shouldn't drop out of the top 10 rated conferences. UNF and KSU will be able to do as good as UCF, Stetson or FAU did this season.

If we are irrelevant get off our board and back to the CUSA board. We may be named for a Hat but there is a reason with tradition something UCF doesn't have. Did CUSA forget to tell you that all the best teams left for the Big East? You are joining a conference that max will get only 2 bids except for baseball. Good luck.

The best basketball teams left for the Big East.

One great football team left - Louisville. Cincinnati hasn't been more than an average football program and USF has been in a freefall that, fortunately for them, UCF's collapse has overshadowed.

If you will be objective, you will agree C-USA will be as strong as it was in football -and has the potential to be stronger.

Where we lost Louisville, we have added UTEP. UTEP finished with a Top 25 ranking in Mike Price's first season there. They are in the top 25 in the preaseason polls that have come out already (albeit it is really too early to tell). Louisville's season last year was as good as Utah's, but that is only one season. If we are to treat ULs 2004 season as benchmark for their programs value, then we also have to do the same for UTEP.

Where we lost Cincy, we gained Marshall...a team who has had more success then Cinci, but the loss of Coach Pruett and an average 2004 season - I'll give it a draw.

Where we lost USF, we gain UCF. You can't assume UCF is going to go 0-11 forever. The coaching staff is proven. Even if one was to actually believe that O'Leary is washed up, the assistants are amazing top to bottom. USF, on the other hand, is still not set at QB and their new OC is their qb coach (if you are wondering if this is a good thing or not, check a USF board for the reactions).

C-USA 2005 will be: better in baseball, the same with potential to be even better in football, and worse in basketball - still getting at least 2 bids though. The difference of having 1 and 2 bids is huge because in the A-Sun, the regular season didn't mean much if you can't win the tournament. C-USA can expect their tournament champion and their regular season champion to go to the NCAAs, if not more.

Uh, Hatterchatter, C-USA lost Lousville, USF, and Cincinatti. Quick name the baseball powerhouse among those three. That's right, none of them. C-USA gained a baseball powerhouse in Rice. Add us in and the conference has without a doubt improved in baseball.

Sorry I don't like cheering for the programs who are leaving our conference. I always hope that teams from the A-Sun do well on the national stage, whoever it is. I'm not living through Stetson, I just hope they do well to show the NATION what A-Sun baseball is all about... it's nice to see small school beat up the big schools.
