I wanted to know about the incoming class of freshman and juco transfers from around the ASUN. Specifically, who will be immediate impact players in bball? Of the incoming recruits, does anyone see any of them starting? Did anyone land a "major" recruit?

As far as the Bucs go, I see two of our recruits who have serious impact potential. First is Courtney Pigram, a 6' guard out of Memphis. He was a Mr.Tennessee finalist and they say he can really light it up. If his potential materializes, he and Smith will make for one hell of a backcourt.
The second recruit that I see having immediate impact potential is Kenyona Swader, a 6'8" juco-transfer. He was highly recruited out of high school and ended up going the juco route. The big question about Swader is his injured knee--he tore his ACL last season.

I'm interested in hearing about everyone's incoming class of ballers.

I am interested to see how UT-transfer Boomer Herndon works out for Belmont. I assume he is eligble now. I saw him play sparingly at UT and sometimes he looked like he had potential other times he looked like he could'nt chew gum and walk at the same time. One game he seriously shot the ball over the backboard from about 8 feet out (ouch!!), But his size alone is a major plus for teams in this league. I wished ETSU could have gotten him (don't know if they seriously tried or not). You can never have too much size...even if it is only for filling up the middle, getting a few rebounds and using up all 5 fouls.

'fan98, I also wish the Bucs would have signed one more big man, preferably a high schooler. They are extremely hard to come by. I think if Nuckles can stay healthy and he learns to play aggressive, he will be the best post player in the league.

Matthew Dotson from Belmont should make an impact for the Bruins as well as Herndon. I don't think he will start for the Bruins, will be an impact player. Dotson is 6-8, 215 and should see plenty of playing time. He committed to UT out of HS and changed his mind and went to BU. As, 1998 said, you can never have too much size. The Bruins also picked up Shane Dansby (6-4 G/F), a transfer from Murray State. He is not eligible to play this year, but will make a huge impact next season for the Bruins.
