South Alabama is now untouchable. They will win the regular season.

We play 2 out of our last 3 at home (both against teams we beat on the road) and troy is beatable even down there.

La. Monroe is currently in 2nd place with a one game lead over us BUT 3 out of thier last 4 are on the road including trips to Jonesboro and New Orleans. We own the tie breaker. A loss at improving Lafayette on Thursday would doom them.

4th place Arkansas St. owns the tiebreaker over us but they are a game behind us AND 3 out of thier last 5 are on the road including trips to Mobile, Denton and Little Rock. They will lose at least one of those.

5th place UNO is also a game behind us... but we own the tiebreaker. We would have to lose 2 out of our last 3 and they would have to win out (they still have a tough game @ stAte) to catch us.

UNT and FAU are both two games behind us... the only way either catches us is if we lose at HOME to either FAU or FIU AND lose at Troy. Its possible but unlikely.

For anyone else to catch us would require us to lose all three of our remaining games... just not going to happen.

Again... if USA is the best in the conference... and we almost beat them in Mobile... we CAN win the tourney.

We have as good a chance as anyone.

At this point, you're right. In fact, going into the tourney without as big a target on us, may be a good thing.

Oh, and as of today the 2 seed would play the winner of the FAU v. Troy game (played @ FAU). As of today we would play the winner of UNT and La Lafayette.

That would be the nightmare scenario. Either the team that swept us OR the host school that hasn't had a home game against us in two years. Scary stuff.
