The Big Ten Network
Debuts in August 2007. If / when successful I've got to believe other BC$ conference$ will $oon follow $uit. I was wondering what the eventual / trickle down effect will be for the MAC, since I would assume the big11 will pressure other outlets. (They blacked out some MSU games in Metro Detroit last fall). Will there be less big11 games on network? Will other conferences gain a market share on ABC? My guess is somehow the MAC will end up getting the short end of the stick, again...

They way I understand it is that the Big 10's ABC appearances will not be impacted up or down
ESPN/ESPN2 appearances will also be about the same, but any Big 10 game on ABC with regional coverage will be on ESPN2 in non-Big 10 markets (which could open up a market for the MAC in the Big 10 market)
ie. If Ohio State vs Michigan State is the regional game in the Midwest, but the West Coast is seeing Oregon vs USC then OSU vs Mich State is on ESPN2 out West. But what will ESPN2 show in the midwest?
The big thing that changes is Big 10 games on ESPN U and ESPN Regional (normally a noon game that was shown in local affiliates) are now moved to the Big 10 network
I think the ESPN Gameplan package will lose half of their programming with that change.
