Representing the MAC
Players from five MAC football teams named to the inaugural National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame National Honor Society today. This represents quite an impressive accomplishment for these kids to achieve both on and off the field.
Don't know what's in the water at Ball State, but they lead the MAC on this list. Qualifications and list on our message board at Kent Sports Report:

Not one Miami player on there? That's highly dubious since there are several players who've had 4.0's their entire career on the team.
Maybe they didn't reply to the questionairre in time- the AD's office has recently been depleted (Five or six of the 12-14 personnel in the office transferred or were released recently).

Looks like schools will have to take it upon themselves to nominate deserving candidates.
And all the way at the bottom, we find what one would expect to find when determining the best of the best in ANY area of football on the national scene:
Quote:As part of the launch, the NFF has established a national advisory committee, including representatives from the seven major conferences, a college president, a conference commissioner, an athletics director, and a Division I-A head football coach. Each one of these representatives provided comprehensive feedback in developing the Honor Society.
"REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE SEVEN MAJOR CONFERENCES..."
Shame on them.
