Brilliant! When did these guys become geniuses? Must have fired the old staff and brought in people who know what they are doing.

(Sadly, long ago seem the days when we had teams to threaten the top 25, though even then, they usually started the season rated about 40th.)

I remember Toledo going 10-1 in 2000 and finally hitting the top 25 after game 11. We started the season in the 80's on the power rankings. Anything can happen and they usually don't show much respect to MAC schools at the start of the season.

These guys really do dislike the MAC. The best team from the MAC is only gonna be 78th? Give me a break, a lot of teams will be improved. There were a lot of young teams last year.

Those rankings were posted January 19, 2007 - prior to National Letter of Intent day and prior to many other things happening in the spring.

In other words, totally meaningless.

Everything CFN does is meaningless when it comes to the MAC. They barely know we exist, let alone actually do any research on the teams in the conference.

I have to agree.

I am not a big fan of CFN's work, they usually favor the BCS schools even more than other media outlets.
