Has this 'professional sports team' had any buzz what so ever, in town?

I'm told they're pulling in decent crowds, but who knows how many of those are comp tickets. Probably a lot. Kalamazoo loves bush league sports. All of our minor league teams draw well. It's actual non-bushleague sports such as WMU football and basketball that concern me.

If the dumbbells in this town understood that the MAC is division 1, just like scUM and MSU, then we'd see 30k plus every week.

Easy, those would be our neighbors and friends, I'm here to discuss WMU sports and not upset our friends that could be helping us in that endeavor....

Oh wait, I'm not Acer.

I agree 100%, the locals have driven me NUTS in their Big Eleven and Notre Dame wannbe love for years. 01-lauramac2

If a K-Wing hockey player spent 5 minutes in the NHL, the locals get all googly eyed, and would wait an hour for an autograph. On the other hand, it never sinks in that Greg Jennings was running routes 2 miles down the street, and now he's catching passes from Farve on Monday Night Football.

Despite that charge. I knew Tyus well, he is a father of a child, and married. He is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. I wouldnt take someone's bad decision as a reflection of their entire character. He had no past history of poor decisions from my knowledge.

Hey we all make mistakes in life. We get too drunk, or we drive too fast, or we get too loud in public. Yeah, that's one thing. On the other hand trying to fight 4 cops, and then leaving he scene.............well, that's not a misake in judgement, that's thug behavior. Trust me, it will resurface.

No no, you have it all wrong, he's a father and Rear4Life just vouched for him. Just drop it, we have no clue, he's a model citizen.

I could go for the K-Wings ditching the UHL and trying to join the ECHL. It wouldn't hurt if the Kings wanted to become an affiliated team either.

There's a legit chance that the UHL will disolve after this year and the Wings will go elsewhere.

The owner of the Kings tried on two occasions to buy the Minor league Single A team in Battle Creek. Their offers were refused both times. I'd like to see it too.

When the KWings were the minor league franchise for the Dallas Stars they were a lot more fun to watch.

The plan is for the UHL to dissolve, and the league will reorganize as, believe it or not, the IHL.

Most teams will continue to exist in the new league and the new Toledo franchise (the storm were just purchased and suspended operations for the year til the new arena is built) will move to the UHL/IHL.

Either way the UHL just lost 20% of its franchises for 2007-08 already.
