tough sell really nailed the challenge for any NIU or midmajor coach in most any sport.
The recruiting process was once explained to me with a simple analogy of a funnel, cake batter and frosting with only the very best frosting squezzed onto the biggest and best cakes people want the most.

SIU, Bradley, Butler, Xavier and other less than high majors are succeeding.
Jim Whitsell in just his 2nd year at Loyola won 21 games in a conference with 2 NCAA tourney participants Patton has one of the best if not the best facility in the MAC to recruit with. I really hope he succeeds.
