Baseball/softball
I can't go to any games anymore living in Central Ohio, but I do follow them daily and on gametracker if I am near a computer during the day.

The baseball team is struggling a bit with the bats, but the pitching has been very solid. The whole lineup save for two or three are in their first or second year of college baseball. I think they will continue to improve as they face the middle of the MAC. Pitching wise, Stricklin and Birkbeck have continued what Rembielak and Birkbeck had continued to build during Rem's time and of course with the staffs before Rem. They recruit and sign the best pitchers Ohio has to offer each year.

I think they will be contending for the MAC championship when all is said and done.

As for softball, will they repeat as MAC champs? Chances look pretty good. They just swept BG today, and BG is typically a contender. If they can win the MAC again, just maybe they could make a bigger dent in the regional tournament with record-setting pitcher Britt Robinson now backed up by freshman phenom Kylie Reynolds.

A great pitcher in softball can carry you a long way and we appear to have two that are pretty good. It could be a real good season. In college baseball you need to hit. Pitching won't carry as far. We need to get going to be champ. Did beat CMU today so that is a good start.
