OT: When A Basketball Game Becomes A Death Sentence...
If this doesn't belong here, I can move it. But since we are at a point where I can catch my breath, being between football and hoops seasons, I have turned some of my attention to writing on other topics at:

http://daveruthenberg.wordpress.com

Today I posted a story about young people dying in Detroit and yesterday about an unsolved murder that may form the basis of a book -- that story is underneath today's post.

For those in Detroit I also have the same blog running on Fox2 News' website.

Anyway, your comments are always welcome.

Dave

Thanks. It's good to stretch out beyond the sports world sometimes...

I was wondering if urban decay in Detroit and Cleveland was hurting high schools produce the talent that once feed the MAC the NBA players on the 1990's. If kids are turning to drugs and crime instead of sports early in life, that might be the reason for the down fall of talent in our recruiting areas. MVC is mostly Chicago, St Louis kids. MAC is Detroit and Cleveland. Without good Detroit talent....MAC is in trouble.
