Practice
I decided to go check out practice today, and I came away very impressed. I twas very fun to watch, alot of intensity and hard hitting. Offense looked real good and contrary to what I had posted earlier, Jones WAS throwing the fball, Thayer didnt look too bad. Dont know what to read into it but, the 1st team offense was Lang, Fretz, Mayner, Walton, and Johnson on the line with Bohnet at TE, Jones at QB, Priest at RB and Pratt, R.Brown and Mitchell as recievers with Stone getting time in there also. They were going against the 1st team defense. And let me say this, this kid Priest is EXCITING!, very fast, broke quite afew long runs including about a 60 yd TD run, once he hits the hole, he is gone! Mitchell also came out of the backfield afew times for some nice catches, and runs. T. Lewis was working with the 2nd team and didnt get much time.. From what I hear, Genyk`s "doghouse" door migfht be open again, with Lewis graciously stepping in...Demaster also caught my eye today....I think they will be patient with S. Johnson as he took a pretty good beating today, Demaster and Gotham could be fighting for that RT position come fall......

I must also add, that I wasnt really paying much attention to the defensive side of the ball as that is how much the offense dominated them today, but it was only the 2nd practice in pads. Bohnet was the only TE I saw going in on 1st team offense, never saw LeDuc, Bonner didnt practice because of a hamstring injury. I was mentiong Johnson in the earlier post about having a bad day, I think its obvious he needs to get stronger. In my opinion Demaster was better. Walker and Blevins were also taking snaps with the 1st team. There were a few skirmishes and the intensity was really high. Most of Priest`s long runs were off the left side of the line...Lang and Fretz were really dominating along with Bohnet...sorry if Im babbling too much...lol...but it awas a serious football fix today....

Actually, Im not remembering any catches from Stone, Brown, Pratt. Most of the receptions were to Bohnet and Mitchell, Jones wasnt very precise in his passes, alot of overthrown and short passes.......the running game was what was impressive...
