The MAC is looking for a 14th Basketball member. Out of any school the MAC could add, WKU seems like it would add the most from a competion standpoint.

Would WKU be willing to leave the Sun Belt? There also is talk of the MAC adding MTSU if Marshall leaves.

Not heard much discussed about WKU joining the MAC. You might pose that question on the message board at www.hilltopperhaven.com That's where the vast, vast majority of 'Topper fans hang out.

First I've heard of MTSU. One advantage to SBC football is the New Orleans Bowl tie in. They'll probably be a shoo in this season. Where's Marshall going to?

Marshall is going to the SBC of all places....

Marshall came close to joining CUSA last fall. The sticking point has been finding a conference for the other sports besides Football. The only sport CUSA wants Marshall is in Football for right now.

Its possible that this fall will be the year for Marshall to CUSA announcment.

MTSU is the first canidate to replace Marshall. Im sure they jump at the chance to play in a better Football and Basketball league. MTSU is only 5-6 hours from Ballst,MiamiOH,Ohio. Thats closer than the rest of the SBC with the exception of WKU. The MAC is looking to build southward in the future toward UCF.

The UNT/MTSU series ought to be a good one this year. But I expect MTSU to come alive and win the SBC and go to the bowl. They got something to prove.
