Well mission accomplished.....pissed off a lot of Kent fans. This is really funny.
You guys take things waaaaaaaaay too seriously on these boards. Lighten up. But on a complimentary note, you need more fans like GFlash68. He obviously knows what this rivalry is about and has some good slams. Maybe someday your fanbase will get a clue. In the meantime, be prepared to suffer a heartbreaking loss on Sunday and later in the Semis.

Why would you being a laughingstock piss off anyone here? 01-wingedeagle
Personally, I'm having a great day enjoying the continued success of our program thanks to our 9th 20-win season, and ribbing my MAC friends.
Your being hysterical is really of no consequence here, but I'm sure that won't deter your delusions of grandeur.
Hey, better go see what your buddies Drudge & Rush are saying today! Could be important!

lmfao

Yes, Akron is a good team this year. Possibly even a championship team. However, Kent State has what Akron wants, a tradition of winning seasons. Not just above .500 winning, but winning 20 games for almost a decade. Even your coach said he desires to be a program like Kent.

And I know, losing to YSU was embarrassing. But this is a different team than in January. Not different players, but a different team.

You might win Sunday...might. You might win the championship. But next year the shoes change. The teammates of LBJ graduates, then all of the St. V fans stop showing up to see their old high school buddies. And Kent State will be running with it again, as the tradition goes. Yes, you will have a good team next year, with very physical athletes. But we will have THE TEAM.

And no, I'm not mad. My blood pressure is not racing. In fact, this is kind of fun. I don't have to look on your message board, you come to ours.

GFlash68 Wrote:Sorry Kent 76, could not disagree more. In fact, I question your patriotism. It is impossible to be a true Kent Fan and pull for the zits. And what is this zit81 doing here anyway? He is uninvited and unwanted. He has his own board but intrudes here along with his brother. He will not see a true Kent Fan on the zit board. They are quite lonely over there, I am sure. 05-stirthepot 05-stirthepot

GFlash...you're pretty funny. Thanks and have a great day!

Re: Huh?
We'll see how "tradition" holds when Jimmy C finally figures out that he's at a school with Jihad fraternities that does not support its team. [/quote]

Jihad Fraternities??????? lmfao

I know the Greek System at Akron sucks, and Kent's isn't exactly Miami when it comes to the Fraternity scene, but Jihad??????

The majority of students who attend the games are members of fraternities and sororities. I can pile on the statistics here, but that's not necessary. I would seriously hate to see who showed up if they didn't. :shhh:

We beat both Rutgers and I believe Villanova in the NIT a few years ago. We would have beaten Penn State too, to the reach the Final 4, had Joe Crispin not shot something like 90% from three point land.

You guys talk about past OOC wins.

Toledo has beaten:

Ohio St.
Michigan St.

**** Both teams each went to the final four the years we beat them.

Thats still more than the zips. lol.

Great wins both. But you'll have to throw out the the note that OSU went to the Final 4--they had to abandon that appearance for one of the times they actually got caught cheating. It has been purged from the record books. lmfao

Another thing that was the last time they played a MAC school on the road!!! Also that was the last time Savage Hall sold out for a game. 03-hissyfit
