Agreed but I would still use my QB's to there fullest potenal so I could throw off the opposing defense. (NOT SAYING WE DON'T) If we have the speed and the blocking scheme and skilled people at the skilled positions then I would use everything that I had to win and win big. I think we are fine tuning as a team and there will be alot of improvement on the o line this year. Nothing happens unless the o-line performs up to par, without a good o-line we are screwed.

Our offensive line play last year was the worst we have had in many, many years. I believe that it was the primary factor in our offensive problems. I also thought our wide receiver position played very poorly last year. We had lost some talented and experienced receivers from the year before and it really showed.

Getting the OL fixed, and I think we will, should correct many of the problems.

We have a nice balanced attack at NIU. There were times we backed off the throttle tyring to nurse a lead and then there was last year, where we seemed to get away from certain things...whether that was Bond or players lack of excecution doesn't matter to me anymore. Anyway, the point remains, in general, our offense is pretty balanced.

Other things that skew stats...we've put a lot of rushing attempts up when we've have big leads against some poor compitition.

now were talking. If we had a threat that could run between the tackles or roll out of the pocket and maybe pick up three or four yards or more then we would be hell to deal with and your right it all begins up front. Without a good blocking scheme and the right personnel to perform their assigned duties then it will be a long year. We have a whole slate of good running backs and Qb's and I think we will see our o-line very much improved this year. It could turn out to be a SURPRIZING year for our HUSKIES.

How can stories be appearing in the press when no official PR release has been issued by the SID office? Shouldn't we have an official announcement up on the website by now? SID, hello, hello..............

Seems weird.

From the article, hopefully, Joe will coach the defense and let Wittke take care of the offense. The best/worst thing is that players will have to earn their positions. Everyone gets a clean slate. In the end, I just want our offense to be able to win games running and/or passing.
