WMU Game
The guy from the Kzoo Gazette predicts WMU 77, EMU 70. This is the same guy that predicted an WMU blowout in the first meeting.

This prediction needs to find its way to the EMU lockerroom (not that any additional motivation is needed).

Solid first half by EMU and decent defense. Second half the wheels come off both the defense and we were as cold shooting as WMU was in the first half. And while I like Bowdry for MAC freshman of the year, Kool was a difference maker in this game-I believe zero points in the first half and led WMU in its second half run.

Lets hope the confidence and shooting touch returns for the remaining three games and go in the MAC tourney on a positive note.

It sounds like it was a trainwreck during the second half. John and Nemo were struggling to find anything remotely positive to say about how we were playing.

We need Carlos in the worst way possible.

EMU HOOPS
Rams has been selling us on the fact that his team is young but WMU has no seniors on their roster - lots of shooters and they have beat us 9 in a row I believe. Fortunes are also turning at CMU - it would be sad not to win any games against in-state rivals.

EMU is young? Half of your roster (8 of 16) is comprised of upperclassmen, including 2 seniors. Seems pretty balanced to me.

WMU has 5 upperclassmen (with no seniors) and 9 underclassmen on their roster.

I wouldn't be buying the "young team" thing either. Let's see ... 50% of his roster is upperclassmen, he's playing at home against a team with 35% of their roster comprised of upperclassmen, his team loses by 19 points, and he wants to attribute it to youth?!

Well he could have attributed the loss to not having Medlock. ;-)

Dennis has it right.

WMU has no seniors, CMU is headed in the right direction as is EMU.

What it MEANS though, is that ALL THREE should be better next year which means that none will be able to move up vis-a-vis the other two.

I've said it a number of times, the West is weak this year vis-a-vis the East but the West will get stronger next year.

The big thing won't be reshuffling teams in the West standings but more parity between the two divison.
