Has Ohio surpassed Michigan or is this just a short term phenomenon. UofM can't pay market value for recruits like Ohio State. Detroit and Eastern are a shell of what they were in the late 90's. CMU is a bottom feeder though improving with a good coach. WMU has a good to above average program but is looking at 2 consecutive seasons without a first round MAC bye. That leaves Michigan State who has fallen from an elite program in the past couple of seasons and the OU Grizzlies who are a contender in the Mid Con to carry our states banner.

The MACs best programs are in Ohio. The Buckeyes are looking at a one seed. Gregory has a real solid program at Dayton, and Xavier isn't far from being the best program in the A10. Wright State is becoming a force in the Horizon. If Cinicinnati were up to form this would be a golden era for Ohio Hoops.

As soon as Lebron and the Cavs run down the Pistons Ohio is going to own Michigan when it comes to basketball. I hope we can get our act together and regain our rightful place in the basketball hierarchy.
