Wellock was a scholarship kicker I believe and well worth the scholie!
We have used walk-ons as backups and actually our punter began his career at EMU I believe as a walk on. Zach Johnson from Springboro Ohio was a lucky find at that position and he is on scholarship I believe. If I recall Zach was a All State soccer player as well as kicker. Last year we had a walk on freshmen Sean Dutcher who I've heard good things about but haven't seen play.
