What a rip-off! That's more than i paid for my ticket ($27.75).
That's why you don't park at Soldier Field. You park downtown, and walk. That's we did for the Bucs/Bears game last year. Me and Flamez park in a SF lot for the playoff game and were out $40. I'm never doing that again. Either park downtown or take the el.

That's because you paid next to nothing for your tix compared to everyone else. Also, most schools give their students crap seats at their home games as well. Stop your bitching.

im not bitching., Ill have fun no matter what. but i am upset with the way the seating was laid out (and yes, the NIU office said students were between the 10-30 yd lines, not the endzone)

Section 154
Row 2
Seats 1,2,3
It's in the endzone, but it's row 2 and on an isle and it's the corner of the endzone. I love being close to the field.
I'm not going to complain. I can't wait for the game!

The NIU Ticket Office graciously granted my wish by giving me a seat on my own private toilet in the concourse directly under your section. Obviously, I won't be able to see the game from there, but they are installing an HD TV on the wall in front of my toilet so I can watch the game. They are even sending in a nice waiter to slip me a couple weiners during the game. Hey, something does not sound quite right about that!!

As long as you aren't ABOVE me so when the toilet overflows it doesn't drip on me. As for the waiter, you are right. The waiter has 2 weiners? :ncaabbs:

Anyone know what SF gets in rentals and fees?
Also, how much does NIU expect to make from the game?

$600,000, i believe.
DetroitRocket Wrote:Also, how much does NIU expect to make from the game?
I would guess that the game should generate close to $3 million. That's not even including money made on parking, concessions, suite rentals, etc.
1,200 student tickets at $27.75 ($33,300) + 60,000 tickets at $50 ($3 million; averaging the $44.50 and $55.50 tickets) = $3,033,300
I believe we're splitting the money right down the middle with Iowa. So after rental fees for the stadium, Iowa and NIU should make above $1.2 million each.

Why is it that they get to keep all parking and concession money?

I believe the deal brokered for the stadium and all that stuff spells out who keeps all the money for concessions and parking.

Park District keeps it all for the Bears games and every other event at SF. They do not budge on this issue. Its their way or no deal.

RE: Now Taking Orders for NIU-Iowa Football Game Tickets
Anyone else think this is going to be a hot ticket? It is already sold out more than a month and a half before the game and I see very few tickets out there to purchase. On stubhub there are only 71 tickets available (at a premium price) and exactly 0 on ebay. It looks like mostly everyone that bought their tickets are planning on going.
