"Q" seems to be getting it!
Since I hammered Q after his "sleep-walk" vs. BUGS two weeks ago, I have to sing his praises now that it appears he's finally getting it (as far as what a KSU BB effort is all about). Forget his 4 pts against EMU, look at the other stats and that will tell you his impact on the game.

* 9 boards
* 4 steals
* 3 blocled shots
* 6 assists
* 2/2 free throws

All that in 24 minutes! Very impressive. He is such a great athlete (extreme quickness and instincts) that he can greatly impact (damn near dominate) a lot of games in a lot of ways. Q had a couple of Steve Nash type "touch passes" yesterday that were simply unbelievable, but his defensive intensity was what impressed me the most. He was everywhere!

As long as Q plays with great effort & intensity, he will do well and be a force for the Flashes. Hopefully, this is what we'll see the rest of the way.

Great Job Q!!!

I agree he played with a lot of intensity and helped us especially on the defensive end. Maybe his incident woke him up. We will see.

I actually saw him smile at one point in the game. It was a first.

Gimmee a "Q"! I don't have much to say on that topic, but I liked that cheer.

Brought this oldie but goodie up rearding J.C."s comment on Q:

Quote:"If he's not the MAC's Defensive Player of the Year there out to be an investigation," Christian said.

Comment in the Plain Dealer on Q's 15 points on perfect 7 for 7 shooting, five steals and two blocks at BG. He played 24 minutes. For those of us on the Kent Sports Report board, rememeber the chat about his poor play? lmfao

He does seem to always be in the middle of the action when he's in there. Very charismatic player.
