Feb 7th is right around the corner. If one more were to jump ship, who might it be.

I voted Grady only because if Michigan State comes calling, I think he would bolt.

I'd vote Kiel or Hopkins, they're both lineman and are 2 of the 3 Rivals rated 5.4 verbals NIU has.

The reason for not having Hopkins on the list is he just recently committed. I think that he was waiting for something better but it never came along. He could always get an offer the day before the signing and jump but he probably knew he was just going to be filler.

Indiana offered Hopkins. Indiana isn't any good, just like Northwestern, but Hopkins didn't jump at the offer like Ben Johnson did.

Every kid is different. Ben Johnson must be a good student and education is important to him. Hopkins might think playing time and overall quality of the team is more important than education.

Johnson wanted a chance to play WR, Northwestern is willing to give him that chance. NIU was not. At least that is what I heard.

Exactly. He probably is a good student and figures if(when?) his NFL career doesn't work out, he has a prestigous degree to fall back on. That is not saying NIU is bad but NU has a MUCH better perception when it comes to education.
