Do we know who the other non-conference opponents are?

OOC
I believe it is @ Idaho, Northwestern (F.F.) and @Vandy.

NU is the only home game and it is in Oct.

I'll bet we OPEN VS. A MAC opponent.

From the article:
"One of the drawbacks of a 12-game regular season for Michigan is negotiating with opponents who want the Wolverines to schedule a home-and-away series. For the Wolverines, the idea is to play as many games at home and score big paydays of several million dollars each Saturday at Michigan Stadium.

"We need eight home games in order to pay the bills," Martin said."

You've got to be kidding me. 8 home games to pay the bills??? If that's the case then the bills are just to high.

I used to be a huge UM fan when I was a kid. Statements like this are one of the primary reasons I now root against them. UM has everything tilted in their favor (scheduling, money, media, etc) then their fans pound their chest and say "look how great we are". If UM had half the guts they claim to have they'd play a few games on the road just to prove their greatness. Send them to Boise and see what happens.

Amen, Wooden Nickle
I feel for UofM, Donald Trump, etc. etc.

Let UofM do like OSU (not my favorite team) do - play home and home with Texas (or whomever).

Wouldn't the folks in A2 like to see home and home vs. Oklahome or Texas, or a Big East or ACC power.

Let them do home and home with Florida State (no excuses about the Florida heat please 05-stirthepot ).

The problem with UM playing a tougher schedule (including some road games) is that they'll lose more. There simply aren't enough therapists in the Ann Arbor area to handle the amount of fans who will be in depression when they realize their almighty Wolverines aren't as good as they think they are. Will UM be able to maintain it's level of arrogance when the football team is 7-5 again? Of course, the bulk of UM's fans never went to UM at all. The true Ann Arborites are cruising around in their Subarus and Birkenstock's looking for a good protest? (I'm always amazed that a community so obsessed with telling the rest of us what's good for America can't seem to buy a car that supports the local economy).
