ive been wondering the same thing, about his strange obsession with NIU hoops...i know all about supporting terrible teams, growing up in the 1990's as a bears, cubs, and blackhawks fan...but when a team absolutely blows, all u can do is laugh and admit it, and start discussing how the team can get better. What gets my blood boiling is when people take this to an extreme and try to shift blame on a coaching staff for things that have nothing to do with coaching like injuries and turnovers. That kind of ignorance gets me frustrated.

Coaches have nothing to do with injuries, but you can work on turnovers. Hello, he recruited these morons that turn the ball over 20+ times a game. Don't the coaches schedule practices? Aren't you supposed to work on your faults in practice? I have a hard time believing that the coaching staff isn't to blame for the turnovers. They're just as responsible as the players.

If Wisconsin makes it to the championship game Id have to put them ahead of that Illinois team. Wisconsin plays defense.

First of all, Ohio State went 20-12 the year they upset Illinois. Considering that game was in C-Bus, how is it a bad loss again? OSU would have went to the dance if they weren't on probabtion. Wisconsin has player 3 ranked teams so far. 3!! Illinois beat something like 13 ranked teams if you include the tournament. 3rd of all, that Illinois team won 18! more games then this Wisconsin team has.

I did not say the MVC sucks this year, I said it was medicore, much like the Big 10 conference was that year when Illinois won.

I suspect Wisconsin took Missouri State a little lightly. Not trying to make excuses but I think that is true. Wisconsin still has some brutal road games left @ Indiana and @ Ohio State. I'd suspect they will lose one of those. Which brings me to a question, I never want to bring up other conferences or teams on an NIU board, but which team is better the 2007 Badgers or the Illini team of a few years back that made the championship game. I think Wisconsin would win just because they play good defense.

And G-force, they are not my beloved Badgers, I only have three teams I qualify to the beloved status....NIU basketball, NIU football, and the White Sox! I am a fan of Wisconsin basketball but nothing like the above 3.
