You guys sure started early. When is your spring game? How many from the recent recruiting class are already in school? Will Hall still be the starting QB?

Thanks Stan, I knew there were some UNT fans out there judging by the poll on the conference forum as to who will win the conference football title this fall.

Looks like our defense will have to be ready to defend against Hall.

Spring fb practice is timed to be completed before spring break, giving the team the period after spring break to concentrate on academics and recover from injuries, if any.
No one from this year's reported recruiting class is in school. Only two JCs were signed and they will arrive in August. I use the word "reported" because we had two signed in December: one a grey shirt who was reported last year, another a transfer from Syracuse who will play a lot of snaps and perhaps start at TE. Both these guys are in school. The TE went to HS near Houston.
QB position may be up for grabs. Hall became starter in ULL game only because Smith slept thru a team meeting. Hall has a good game vs ULL and went the rest of the way. Hall had a good year but played poorly at NMSU and in the Bowl. A betting man might bet on Hall, acknowledging Smith has the stronger arm.
We are a lot more worried about defense than QB. Kennedy, top 4 linebackers, safety and cornerback, all gone. Good people in as replacements, but in many cases untested and inexperienced. We may have to score a lot of points this year.

Thanks George, I have read the debates back and forth on who should start at QB. What ever happened to that QB we were both recruiting (Kellen Haynes), I did not see his name on your signing day list. Do you know where he went? if anywhere?

There are a couple of other QB's in practice who could challenge Hall or Smith next year. One is Joey Byerly who is built similar to Daunte Culpepper (I believe) and there is another one who i believe is 6'5". Plus we have a stud QB from Richardson Pearce who lost major schools when he broke his leg in Spring Ball last year. :D
