Be happy you won the game. Be happy that you're in the Super Bowl. What is the point in criticizing Reggie's celebration?

If you ever played an organized sport you would know why taunting is wrong.

I've played my fair share of organized sports. I've always thought that if the guy taunts your team, he has every right. Shouldn't the defense have stopped him? If they stop the guy, then he doesn't taunt anyone. It's that simple.

Most retarded thing ive ever heard...the greatest players in history never taunt excessively like that. What pisses me off most about it is that Bush is too good to ruin his reputation like that..if he never does that garbage again, i think everyone will forget about it though. If you look at the all-time greats, it is no coincidence that they all handled their success with class..walter payton, jerry rice, eventually ladainian tomlinson..etc.

I had no problem with Randy Moss mooning the fans at Lambeau. Taunting happens. If you want to stop it, don't let the guy score. It's that simple.

Did you say the same thing when Hester did it? I had no problem when Devin did it. I actually like Hester.

Well, if you want me to be honest, no i didnt say the same thing...i love hester because of what he does for my favorite team, just like the saints fans do with bush. If hester was on another team, id probably dislike him actually lol..but if hester taunted ray lewis or something like that, i wouldnt be sticking up for him if the entire ravens defense was gunning for him the rest of the game, ya know what i mean?
With all due respect, you sir are a hypocrite.

I thought my last post cleared up that i am in fact NOT a hypocrite, but whatever..no use discussing that any longer. I just think the picture is funny, although the grossman one was hilarious just cuz that was real..when that camera man looked at his pictures after the game, he must have died laughing

Regarding taunting, how many times have we seen Michael Turner or Garrett Wolfe doing any taunting?

I remember the first NIU game I ever saw Turner taunted an opposing player here @ home, but I can't remember for the life of me who they were playing.

Because had he done that at Lambou you would've been calling for his head.

No I wouldn't. I said that I had nothing against Randy Moss' charade at Lambeau. What makes you think I would be offended by Reggie pointing his finger at a defender?

It's the NFL... the level of taunting and excessive celebration is disgusting by each and every team in the league. The Bears are just as guilty as any other team in the league. I swear... it seems these days players only want to make big plays so they can show off that new gig they've been working on all week or to "represent to their homies" who are watching on tv.

I agree with this statement, niutrav...every team is just as guilty as the next, no doubt. Everyone seems to think i believe the bears are angels when it comes to this, and they arent. My whole point is that it seems as if reggie bush just pissed off the wrong defense at the wrong time by doing what he did.

It was definitely a rookie mistake. When you're up against a D that good there's no reason to give them an extra incentive. He wasn't really like that in college either... it's like something comes over players when they enter the NFL. I gave one guess: $$$$$$$

It's a shame that the NFL is turning into the NBA..

Seriously... is it really worth celebrating and dancing for making a play that you are PAID to make?? There's nothing wrong with pumping yourself, your teammates, and your fans up but there certainly is a line and many players choose to cross it. That's why I love guys with the hard-nosed old school mentality like Favre, William Henderson (yes Packer bias.. I'll throw a Bear in there for you) and Urlacher.

All taunting in the NFL is wrong. That specifically is why I decreased by season tickets from 4 to 2 and will probably drop them when I lose interest entirely with the rapist, murderous, tattoed thugs in the gangs ... errrrr... on the teams in the NFL. I am not alone and surely as what is happening in the NBA, it is going to happen in the NFL.

As for the earlier what is wrong with Bush taunting - nothing if you want to put your career at risk. After that taunt to Urlacher, rather than pursuing and tackling the ball carriers and receivers, the Bear defenders were extreme in their tackles to inflict pain. Everyone saw the same game and I was there. I will review the tape of the game to confirm what I saw live. I would have been thrilled to death to see Briggs or one of the other big hitters like Harris or Urlacher end that a$$hole's career. That is what is wrong with the taunting. Millions watching on TV were also hoping that he was destroyed with a major hit. I guarantee that if I was on that field, I would have taken the end-his-career shot because he earned it.
