OT-Gas prices
Is it true that gas(the kind you put in your car not DF kind) is about $2.00 a gallon? 04-jawdrop

I am paying just under $2.40. This really sucks.

Everyone in my area (Lockport/Homer Glen) is between $1.99 - $2.04. Oil prices are at their lowest point in over 2 years.

I got gas last Thursday in New Lenox for $1.98. But here on campus and around DeKalb it is still around $2.10 to $2.18. I was pretty excited. Overall, the price of oil per barrel has gone down, and gas should as well.

In the summer 2006, demand was outstripping supply. Refinery capabilities went down because of Katrina. Gas prices increased. As a result, people consumed less gas. After several months, demand got back in line with supply - prices went down. Unfortunately, lots of people who don't like Bush conveniently tried to blame the spike in gas prices on the administration. Remember that?

Turns out it's the cause and effect of supply and demand on markets that determine prices - not the person in the White House.

Kedz.. gas prices we're already higher and had been on a steady rise before Katrina hit, they just went to extreme highs for a short period after that but quickly went back to pretty much the same price we had been paying beforehand..
Unfortunantely Kedzman's find it convienent to blame the weather when there are many other factors involved even if none of them are W. Bush.
