Future conference member Troy State is having a great season in basketball. They defeated Gardner-Webb today 81-74 to improve their record to 20-5 overall and 16-2 in the Atlantic Sun Conference. I could be wrong but I think this win gives them the top seed for the A-Sun tournament. Way to geaux Trojans 04-cheers

I looked it up, Troy State is currently in first place in the A-Sun withtwo games left to play before the tournament. They play at Jacksonville (2/27) and at Stetson (2/29).

There are three good teams in the A-Sun. Troy State is playing good right now while UCF has slipped a little. Belmont is also a strong team. Unfortunately only the tournament winner gets invited to the NCAA and I doubt the NIT selecting anyone. Hopefully TSU will be the #1 seed in the conference and not have to play either UCF or Belmont until the final game.

I was surprised that you didn't mention Georgia State from here in Atlanta (also a founding member of the Sun Belt, BTW) as one of the best teams in the A-Sun. They recently broke out of a slump and they have beaten TSU and UCF. I think they have 15 or 16 wins.

Georgia State is also a good team. If I had picked the top four GSU would have been incluced. Right now TSU and Belmont seem to be peaking at the right time. I think UCF has the most talented players except for Greg Davis at TSU. GSU hit a slump and hasn't been consistent. There're all going to the tournament and anything can happen. I just think at this point in time TSU, UCF and Belmont will be the hottest teams there.

If Troy wins either one of their next two, they get the number one seed because they have the tie-breaker over UCF.
