Wouldn't it be nice if a MAC school could offer something even close to that.

If CMU was going to make Kelly the highest paid MAC coach wouldn't the numbers be close?

Heeke told us yesterday on our broadcast that Kelly's deal would have paid him around $300k. Kelly's deal at Cincy is guaranteed for $800k per year with radio/TV, apperances, endorsements, etc... So, no, the MAC could not offer something like that, unfortunately.

not enough
Toledo Tom makes 376,000 per. The report that Espn made during the MACC must have been false if Heeke only said he was offering 300,000. I don't care for Kelly but I would have loved to see another mac coach get paid.
Sucks that a school like cinci can pay all that money when their attendance is no better than most of ours. BCS money sure helps out.

Cincinnati would lead the MAC in attendance at over 20,000 per game. The had 27,000+ their last home game a year.

If you were hosting Ball State instead of Rutgers you wouldn't be averaging quite as many though. 27K+ against a Big East team isn't impressive.

Actually, NOT. Your program is living off of BCS?Big East money. You certainly are not bringing in your own revenue. W/out the Rutgers ghame you are under 20K.

NIU drew over 20K per game this year and that's the lowest number we've drawn in the last 4 years. NIU outdrew Cincy in 03: 23575 vs 21827 and 04 27052 vs 21255 in 05 U topped us 22423 vs 22176. Averaging out the 3 years NIU is ahead of Cincy 24268 vs 21835.
