I'm not sure we should put too much stock into that. Some people voted for Gonzaga instead of Butler???? Butler wasn't even ranked in the last poll and now are #1. Don't get me wrong, its a nice honor to get but I would rather have our teams win on the court and have no one in the rankings than get over hyped in that poll and lose.

Just to pick a name of a voter Bob Marlin (Sam Houston State). His team hasn't played a MAC school all year and it isn't like he has watched us on tv so where is he getting his voting knowlegde from?

It's about what I would expect. No MAC team has really distinguished itself yet which is why so many MAC teams are getting votes. Separation will likely come in the next month, and if not then, once the conf. season plays out. If we have a pile of teams 7-9 to 9-7 in MAC play, none will rank very highly. If one team can put together a good streak now or then, they will move up quickly in this particular poll.
Right now the MAC is looking like a weak mid-major conference.

Ohio could help itself by beating Louisville, Arizona State and Cincinnati. Bobcats aren't facing those schools in football, so there is a chance.

You well should beat UC--this is their worst team in 20 years and OU should be favored. All 3 of these teams are beatable.

3. Gonzaga (5) 8-1 686 2

North Texas is up there too, and they turned down the WAC.
