The Jags definately have to be looking forward to taking on MAAC member Siena this weekend. I'm sure Jville State was a nice relief after playing Texas A&M and Ole Miss.
Siena comes into Stanky Field with a 3-5 record, including a win versus UNO. Two players stand out on the Saints team so far this season; 2B Tony Cippolla and 3B Kevin Roberts. Cippolla is batting .355 so far, with Roberts hitting a .333. Last season, the Saints were 17-35-1, where Cippolla led the team with only .279 and Roberts hitting a measly team-high 5 HR.
The only Siena pitchers that pose any sort of threat (according to box scores) are #1 starter Ryan Bitter and closer Josh Courage. Last year, Courage threw for a 3.05 ERA, recording the ONLY SAVE for Siena. Bitter tossed a 3.51 ERA, leading his pitching teammates with bean balls. Of course, last years numbers may not mean a thing if they had some sort of epiphany during the off-season.
Joey Doan starts tomorrow, looking for his first win. From the looks of the Jax St. game, the bats seem to still be alive, despite the tough loss to Ole Miss. I gotta go study now, so no more time to analyze stuff...but I predict a sweep for the Jags. Our sweep won't have the same numbers as the Cajun 2-game 28-9 total, or the UNO 3-game 37-8 shalacking....but we'll still come out with 3 W's. Thoughts?

I think that now that we have our 1st W of the season, things will get better. THe pressure is off of the 1st win, and any additional pressure for Kittrell's 800th is gone.
We should be able to win. The team worked together really well at the JSU game so, hopefully we can pull in 3 more wins, (though tomorrow may get rained out. supposed to be really bad weather.)

We crushed them 16-1, game calles at 7th cause of 10-run mercy rule.
We should sweep the series.

Well we lost to them today 9-4 I think it was. more errors.
I havent looked past this team when I see they roughed up UNO's ace pitcher last week. He is projected to be drafted 2nd overall it the draft so I know Siena can play.
