typical frosh...hero one night dog the next ..ill give the bonehead..play of the game to mr. chris s. not to be aware of the shot clock when you are acting like a point guard is terrible and then give the ball to Q at the 3 point line..oh well he will get better...and the second bonehead award will go to JC ..27 seconds left down by one and does not foul until 7 seconds left on clock ..now you got no chance to set up a 3 pointer and ended up with a shoot that looked like SOMETHING A SIDEARM PICHER DO...DID ANY OF YOU SEE THAT ON THE BUTLER SITE??? 04-rock ..just terrible.YOU GOT FOUL PRONTO DONT YOU??....but none the least a great game for kent ..this types of games will be helpfull for this team later on the season 04-rock ;-)

Hello on this sunday on which another tough ooc road loss at the end that really could have been a helpful quality win and we could have finished November 6-1 with a win over a verrry good non conference opponent. 5-2 is not bad, but our best win was IUPUI and they are ifffy as a top 144 squad. My view is that we should have won this game and Duke better look out, because kent played butler better than Gonzaga, tenn., Indy etc. Looking ahead at this Butler teams schedule, it is a very likely possibility that this team will go unbeaten in the regular season. It is too bad we could not be fortunate enough to deliver them their only loss. I left the board and went outside to listen to the car radio first off because we were doing bad at that time in overtime and second of all because i was tired of listening to bias butler announcers. I am on wednesday going to see my first basketball game of the year in which they are taking on a decent but very young indeed cleveland state team. I am positive about having a win and I am hopeful that we will not have a letdown. Lets give singletary a rest, he's just a frosh and he will get better and besides if it was not for that three that he hit, there would be no need for him to have that turnover matter with a minute left in double OT. AAAAAAAAAAah, we had so many chances to put them away and didn't do it. Hey, think on the bright side guys, Kent State after OSU rises up to number 1, Kent will not have a loss this year against a team not ranked number 1 in some poll! ;-) lmfao P. S. Look in Sports Illustrated and look at page 70 where Aaron Gray is shooting that layup and look to the left of it at the guy sittin there in the white kent shirt in the upper deck. That would be me. Hey, this is my longest post ever.

I was at the game so here are a couple points.

1. Hinkle is awesome. Everyone should see a game there. The crowd was less than 4,000 but that place was rockin' the whole game. The fans were great too.

2. I would lay off a Singletary on that play oldfan. I didn't help that Mincy didn't start to dribble towards the basket until there were 8 seconds left on the shot clock.

3. Even though Kent lost, that was probably the most exciting basketball game I ever witnessed in person (okay maybe Illinois/Arizona in the Elite 8 in '05 was better).

4. I thought Knight was great. However, he seemed to play a bit scared offensively (in fact the whole team did, but Bulter played outstanding defense). Knight played so much because Q was in foul trouble.

5. A warning to Q and Singletary. STOP bitching to the refs everytime you get called for a foul. Those two were lucky the refs were patient. Otherwise, they could have been gone much sooner.

6. Butler won the turnover battle and won the game. Kent had 16 TOs (which in 50 minutes of game time is not that bad). But Butler had only 6 turnovers!!! That stat alone is amazing.

7. Overall, hats off to Butler. To come play this game after win the NIT tipoff less than 24 hours eariler is amazing nice job 04-bow

Kent better be ready for Cleveland State. I know the players are bummed by this loss but this was a game in which they did everything they could. It's just the other team won. Hats off to KENT!!!

I'm tired and I'm going to sleep now ;-)

PS - It's a shame Kent lost because Omni's 3pt shot to put the score 57-55 was the sweetest shot I have ever seen.
