Womens BBall Exhibition Sunday( Nevermind)
For those of you with no Sunday plans, check out the ladies opening exhibition game against Gannon at 1pm at the MAC. Should be nice to see how the ladies are coming along as they get ready to start the season.

Go Flashes!

Scratch this one off the list. According to kentstatesports.com the exhibition was supposed to be and is now closed to the public and is going to be a closed door scrimmage. My apologies to anyone who made plans to attend. I was rather looking forward to this. Damn sports info people need to get their crap together over there before putting stuff online.

Don't feel bad I even e-mailed Lori Bodnar to confirm it was open to the public and she said yes. Apparantly they did not even tell her. Does anybody know if the men's game on Saturday 11/4 will also become closed?

Really wanted to see the women too. They had a really strange recruiting class. All but the first one wasn't announced until September.

1. One standard type high school recruit
2. A lady from the Czech Republic
3. A South Florida volleyball player who must sit out a year (was a good high school player two years ago)
4. A senior who transferred from Arkansas. She can play right away because she already graduated and is going to grad school.

If these players don't contribute right away they could be in serious trouble. I wonder if Lindsey's bad publicity a few years ago is beginning to hurt (whether it was true or not). Without the 3 recruits they are a team of three average to poor centers. A 5'9" power forward and a bunch of wing players. That Arkansas PG better be able to play and the Czech player better be able to give us some good minutes at PF.

Transfer Rule?
I didn't think the transfer who played volleyball at her former school was required to sit out. Are you sure about that? Could it possible be that they decided to redshirt to get her reacclimated to basketball and learn the college sport after having not played her first year of college?

I don't know for sure. Maybe they did just redshirt but either way she can't help this year.
