It would be nice but I'll be content just winning all of our I-AA games. The last time we opened with KSU ('02), WKU went on to win the national championship so hopefully that happens again.

This is a tough schedule, and there is very little room for error. Between the tough Gateway road games (and home games for that matter), FIU on the road, and K-state, this team could possibly lose 5 games. I hope not, but the possiblity is certainly there. I think that if we can hold it to 4 losses then we will make the NCAA's again, but if we pick up that 5th loss... this could be a very dissappointing season.

Guys, nothing against FIU, but if they played as bad as they did two years ago, we have nothing to worry about. I know they were a I-AA school then, but I don't think it makes much difference. I'm just wanting to win one I-A game this year.

Yeah but you were playing FIU as a first year team. Ask Georgia Southern, Bethune-Cookman, Maine, FAU and/or Troy State if we've gotten better since then. It won't be as easy as last time around I can guarantee you that.

I second that!!! Remember, you were playing freshman straight outta high school who were still wet behind the ears! They are now in their third year and have since gotten more experience, strength, wisdom, and speed. Let's just say that you'd better not be caught sleeping :snore:
See ya' in "The Cage" on September 25 @ 6:00pm :saber:
P.S. Bring your A-game

Well, the miracle didn't happen. But I do believe in moral victories.ESPN.com gave a pretty good write up.

The Gate way is on notice.

That article didn't do justice to how close we really were. We were in this one until the very end.

Hurry up and get that damn stadium built. I'm ready for the move to IA, now.

Yeah, get that touchdown in the fourth and an onside kick and things could have been very interesting.

I'm with you. If they build the seating capacity and win some games against 1A I think we are going to find a lot of fans we never knew we had.
