TSU sets NCAA record for 3-pointers made

TROY, Ala. – The Troy State men’s basketball team captured its fourth Division
I statistical title for 3-pointers made this past season, connecting on 364,
which led the nation among Division I schools and ranks as the second most in a
single season in NCAA Division I history.

The Trojans averaged 11.7 shots made per game from 3-point range in 2003-04,
which is a NCAA record, eclipsing its own previous mark of 11.1 set in 1996. As
a team, the Trojans hit 364-of-1015 shots from 3-point range (35.9 percent).

The Trojans also captured the NCAA title for 3-pointers made in 1994, 1995 and
1996.
