good stadium..........rubber bowl is ugly ..old....smelly....dark and glummy...terrible parking and again a long dark walk to stadium, if is wet your feet get all muddy....the food is ,well lets just say ....nothing... 03-melodramatic .....stadium is such a big part of the event even if the team is lausy...do you remember the first time you went to the indians new stadium or the browns new palace, heck i dont remember waching the game, i dont remember if it was the royals or the twins, i was just looking at all the things around me, you could see peaple were really enjoying the place..now AKRON U HAS a good football team... a great coach...and from what ive been reading the best recrutes are yet to come....i see zips hats everywere in town, ive seen fear the roo t-shirts on a 70 year old grandma....the big shots at AKRON-U have to get this clue ,your problably paying big bucks to marketing expets to tell you how to improve attendance.... here is some free advice
04-chairshot BUILD A NICE STADIUM....MAYBE ONE WITH A RETRACTABLE ROOF, WE HAVE LOUSY WEATHER IN AKRON PLAY GAMES AT NIGHT ,WITH THE ROOF PERENTS WONT MIND TAKING THEIR KIDS OUT IN A COLD NIGHT, AND MAKE IT AN AFFORTABLE FAMILY EVENT....WERE A FAMILY OF FOUR OR MORE CAN ENJOY A NIGHT WITHOUT HAVING TO SELL THE BUICK.....get good cheap food in there, have the old standards but also get taco bell and burger king ,subway etc..etc.. for some affordable alternative even if they have to charge a little more for the stadium service (no more than 10% premium would be fair}BUILD IT... KEEP WINNING AND THEY WILL COME>>> 01-wingedeagle 01-wingedeagle 01-wingedeagle maybe this will get back to the DEAN or the AD at akron U..anyway if they can use this free marketing info ... 2... 50 yard line season tickets lifetime in the new stadium WOULD BE FINE FOR PAYMENT TO OLDFAN1 {im OLD, LIFETIME WONT BE THAT LONG, 18 YEAR MAX IF IM LUCKY.. lmfao lmfao . lmfao 02-13-banana 02-13-banana [/quote]

welcome coments... critic ...name calling...etc...etc...etc.

oldfan...UA IS planning to build a new stadium on campus, so you and the administration are already on the same page about that. We will expect to see you there with lots of friends and family in a couple years when it's ready but you will need to plan ahead and get your tickets early or be left out of the action. The Rubber Bowl has been a fine place to watch the Zips for many years but like you say, it's becoming outdated and time to be replaced.

Go Zips !

Here's hoping you do not make 18 more hours, much less 18 more years. Die old fart.
